OpenOffice.org 2.0 stable version

OpenOffice 2.0 - About
Finally, OpenOffice.org 2.0 stable version has been released today, 20 Oct 2005. I have uninstalled its beta version (1.9.125) and I installed the latest one in my WinXP system. I downloaded it from Gadjah Mada University - Indonesia and it takes 5 minutes to complete 74.9MB download using my home internet connection.

OpenOffice.org natively supports the internationally standardised OpenDocument format, which several countries, as well as the U.S. state of Massachusetts, have established as the default for office documents. I personally use OpenOffice.org is because it's free and the ability to open Microsoft Office documents. I am not an advance user of Office suite that's why OpenOffice is enough for me. Actually OpenOffice offers great features but so far I didn't utilize it deeply. I recommend it for those need complete and great Office suite that free, popular and of course, legal :).
